About JobSeal

We're building the infrastructure for trustworthy hiring — starting with employment verification that actually works.

Our mission

References are broken. We're fixing them.

The traditional reference call is one of the weakest signals in hiring. It's typically a 10-minute conversation with a hand-picked contact, who will almost always say positive things — because the candidate chose them. The feedback is anecdotal, impossible to verify, and rarely transferable from one employer to the next.

JobSeal replaces this with a structured, referee-backed career score that is quantified, independently verified, and stored permanently with the candidate — not locked inside one employer's filing cabinet.

Our mission is to make the hiring process fairer and more efficient for everyone: candidates who want their track record to speak for itself, employers who need to make confident decisions quickly, and referees who want to give meaningful feedback without being put on the spot.

What we believe

Transparency builds trust

Candidates know what referees are asked. Employers know how scores are calculated. There are no black boxes in our verification process.

Privacy is non-negotiable

Individual referee responses are never stored. Only aggregated scores are retained. Referee identities are never revealed to employers.

Data stays in Australia

All JobSeal data is stored and processed in Australia. We will never route your data offshore. This is an architectural commitment, not a policy.

Candidates own their record

Your verified career history belongs to you. You decide who sees it, when they see it, and you can take it with you to any future employer.

Built in Australia, for Australian workplaces

JobSeal is a Sydney-based company. Our platform is designed around Australian privacy law, workplace norms, and the specific challenges of verifying employment across Australia's diverse industries.

Every piece of data — candidate records, referee responses, employer accounts — is stored on AWS infrastructure in the Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
